Setup Minimize Entry Data before applying Support Packages

Minimize Entry Data helps to strongly reduce the amount of data written to the disks when updating BLOB flieds like REPOLOAD or REPOSRC.

As SAP is having a large transport in Basis 7.00 SP19 that creates a lot of updates in REPOSRC when D010INC is large - and this is nearly ALWAYS the case, it is pretty risky to install this without the change. Otherwise, it could happen, that up to 600 GB (!) Journal Receivers are created !!!
(Other customers had to restore either there DB or even the OS already ...)

=> You should switch to "Minimize Entry Data" at least before applying Support Packages!

How to do the activation of "Minimize Entry Data" ?

- Ensure, that the following PTF is installed on your system
V5R4M0: MF46606
V5R4M5: MF46607
V6R1M0: MF46608

- CHGJRN JRN(R3sidDATA/QSQJRN) JRNRCV(*GEN) MINENTDTA(*FILE)
